=============================================

Due to more stringent legal requirements for pawnshops throughout the
country, extensive changes in WinPawn Interest rate and fee handling were
made to meet most US states and other countries current requirements.

Your state has somewhat different ticket legal requirement from the one
supplied with WinPawn you downloaded from our website.

Please follow these steps:

1. *** Copy the files here in the zip file in this zip file over the
old files in the WinPawn directory (folder) - except you do not have
to copy this instruction file -

2. *** BACKSIDE.WRI file:
The BACKSIDE.DOC file has your state legal text to be printed on the
backside of tickets. If you are using plain paper for tickets, just print
the backside.doc file and copy that with a copier to a ream of paper to be
used for ticket printing. For dot matrix printers on multipart paper, you
may need to have that done by a printshop.

3. Records: You should file a copy of pawns and buy's and on back of
buys keep the written record of payments and redeems with customers
signature when redeeming. The original pawn ticket will be your
primary record of the pawn (and buy). This seems to be state regulation.
The computer program is mainly a convenience for you and for keeping
records of other type of transactions.

4. The state regulation has the customer sign permission if he wants
the ticket to be split into two or more tickets on the original pawn.
But according to a state official it is not against the law for the
customer to redeem only part of the items he pawned at the higher
interest rates allowed.

If you want to allow that, you should insert the following language on
the Redeem receipt (and make a note about the partial redeem on the
back of original pawn ticket).

File/SystemSetup/InventoryParamaters/[InvoiceTicketLegals]/(PawnRedeem)

On this date I request to redeem only the item(s) listed above
pawned on the original ticket loan #_________ and understand that
this partial redeem, will cost me the higher interest allowed for
the reduced pawn total amount shown here.

5. You need to instruct the pawnshop staff to check the pawn overdue
(default) report 15 days ahead before default every day and send out
overdue notices required by law. That is Reports/OverduePawnsAndLa's
and then put in 15 days in the right top spinnor for "days ahead"
and click on the [Show overdues for] button. Then you can send out
the required letters of notification before the pawn defaults.
If you have your shop closed on weekends - for example Saturday
or Sunday you should also get the overdue reports for 13 or 14 days
ahead to print the letters you missed.
